The investment niche was chosen for a reason. On Telegram, the most profitable topics are investments, finance, business, crypto, and real estate—these make up a significant share of the Telegram channel market.
The name was chosen to be as straightforward and clear as possible: “Investor’s Portfolio.” The main concept of the channel is that the author shares their own portfolio and news from the stock market. The word “investor” is key: when users search for investment resources, they often type in “investor” or similar terms, which helps attract organic subscribers through search (so-called “self-growth”).
Based on our team’s tests, we selected the most effective ad creative. It’s important to note that creatives can become “worn out” (when they’ve been used for a while and users see them multiple times, subscriber acquisition costs start to rise), so step 3 must be repeated regularly for sustained traffic growth.
The projected payback period for the project was 10 months. The financial model was as follows: 30% of profits allocated to the “media buyer” (the person acquiring traffic) and the editor (in this case, only one editor, but there could be several), 50% reinvestment (a necessary step to maintain channel attractiveness for clients and advertisers), and 20% net profit.
In the first month, the financial result was -601,057 RUB (approx. -$6,237).
It’s important not to be discouraged by such results in the early months. The financial result for the second month was -89,273 RUB (approx. -$926), which is 85% less than the first month.

Spent on traffic from November 2022 to July 2023: 4,282,137 RUB (approx. $44,423)
Revenue from the project in the same period: 5,172,687 RUB (approx. $53,669)
Payback period was not the projected 10 months, but just 7 months.
